As part of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization's commitment to strengthening institutional engagement with its Member States and enhancing cooperation and coordination with their diplomatic missions accredited to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Eng. Khalid Cherkaoui, Director General of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO), conducted a series of official visits from 13 to 17 July 2026 to Ambassadors of Arab Member States accredited to the Kingdom of Morocco.

The visits included H.E. Mr. Ezzedine Said Al-Asbahi, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Nehad Abdel Latif, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Mr. Khalid bin Salman bin Jabr Al-Musallam, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain, H.E. Mr. Ahmed Abdulrahman Al-Baker, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait, and H.E. Ms. Raja Youssefi, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Tunisia.

The meetings provided an opportunity to present ACAO's role in advancing joint Arab action in the field of civil aviation, while discussing ways to further strengthen cooperation with Member States and enhance coordination mechanisms in support of the sector's priorities. Discussions also focused on promoting aviation safety, security and the efficiency of air transport, as well as supporting training programmes, capacity building initiatives and the exchange of expertise among Member States.
During the meetings, the Director General outlined his vision for the Organization's next phase, which is centred on reinforcing ACAO's position as the leading regional technical organization for civil aviation in the Arab world, further developing its programmes and activities in line with evolving international developments, responding effectively to the needs of Member States, and fostering greater Arab integration across all areas of civil aviation.

For their part, the Ambassadors congratulated H.E. Eng. Khalid Cherkaoui on his appointment as Director General of ACAO and reaffirmed their countries' continued support for the Organization and its mission. They also expressed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation with ACAO in order to advance the development of the Arab civil aviation sector and promote the objectives of joint Arab action.

These visits reflect the Organization's commitment to strengthening communication with its Member States, consolidating institutional partnerships, and enhancing consultation and coordination in support of the effective implementation of ACAO's programmes and future initiatives.
