As part of its continued efforts to strengthen institutional engagement with Arab Member States and consolidate cooperation and coordination with their diplomatic missions accredited to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Eng. Khalid Cherkaoui, Director General of the Arab Civil Aviation Organization (ACAO), continued his meetings with representatives of Arab States in Rabat, visiting H.E. Dr. Imran Mohamed Al-Ghaib, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Libya to the Kingdom of Morocco, and H.E. Ms. Hala Kairouz, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Lebanese Republic to the Kingdom of Morocco.
The meetings provided an opportunity to highlight the role played by the Arab Civil Aviation Organization in advancing joint Arab action in the field of civil aviation, and to discuss ways of strengthening cooperation and coordination between the Organization and Arab Member States, including through the development of the Arab civil aviation sector, enhanced training and capacity-building programmes, and the exchange of expertise.
The Director General also outlined the Organization's priorities for the coming period, reaffirming its commitment to continuing the development of its programmes and initiatives, expanding areas of cooperation with Arab Member States in response to their needs, and supporting their efforts to develop the civil aviation sector, while further strengthening Arab integration and coordination across the various fields of civil aviation.
H.E. Dr. Imran Mohamed Al-Ghaib, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the State of Libya, expressed his appreciation for the Organization's efforts to support and develop the Arab civil aviation sector, stressing the importance of strengthening cooperation with ACAO and benefiting from its programmes and technical expertise in a manner that serves the interests of Member States and supports the development of their capabilities across various areas of civil aviation.
For her part, H.E. Ms. Hala Kairouz, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Lebanese Republic, expressed her appreciation for the role played by the Arab Civil Aviation Organization in serving Arab Member States, emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation and coordination in support of the civil aviation sector and the advancement of joint Arab action.
These meetings form part of the approach adopted by the General Directorate of the Organization to strengthen direct engagement with Arab Member States and their diplomatic missions, consolidate institutional partnerships, and enhance consultation and coordination mechanisms, thereby supporting the implementation of the Organization's programmes and reinforcing its role in serving the Arab civil aviation sector.
