Rabat - The Arab Civil Aviation Organization has published Issue 40 of the "Arab Aviation" magazine in its bilingual version Arabic and English.
The new issue was rich in reports, dossier and analytical articles. The editorial reviewed the adoption by most of the countries of the directives of the ICAO Council Task Force for the Recovery of Civil Aviation (CART), a few weeks before the start of summer 2020 touristic season, fulfilling thus the primary target of the international civil aviation family which is to restore the traveler´s confidence and ensure the resumption of commercial flights, the latter registering peak levels during this period. The writer highlighted that this process was accompanied by intensive efforts by both States´ civil aviation authorities and ICAO through its General Secretariat and its regional offices as well as regional organizations and international bodies operating in the air transport industry, in accordance with the principles of the CART team. Those principles include working in the aviation industry as one team and showing solidarity. They also state that ICAO, States, international, regional and industry organizations plans should complement and support each other, and States should coordinate their actions as much as possible in line with ICAO rules, plans and policies.
Issue 40 also included reports, entitled respectively: "Arab Medical Competencies within the WHO Health Regulations Evaluation Committee," "Farewell Boeing 747 and Airbus A380," and "Earth Day Sheds Light on Climate Action."
As for the special dossier, it was devoted to the honorific role of the Arab air bridges, which served to transport aids to Lebanon and relief assistance to the Lebanese people after the port of Beirut tragedy. Engineer Mohammad Rejeb, air navigation and safety expert at the Arab Civil Aviation Organization, wrote an article on the need for coordination and improvement of cooperation between civil and military aviation, while the Saudi journalist Ibrahim Al-Rawsae published an article entitled: "The Here and now", the danger of instantaneous broadcasting on the aviation sector. "The new issue also included other reports and news related to the organization and member States´ activities during the past three months and the most important international and Arab events during this period.
